Lara George is one of the most famous Nigerian gospel singers whose popularity is spread throughout the world. She was born in Lagos and from her young age she was interested in music. Lara George made her fest steps in music while studying in Queens College. She was singing in the local church choir. Laraís professional career started in 2007 when she released her first song ìIjoba Orunî and it was welcomed by public but the desirable recognition wasnít obtained. One of the reason was that lyrics of the song were written in Yoruba but gospel music genre demanded English to be spread in Nigeria and in the USA. The fame came to Lara George in 2008 after releasing the single ìForever in My Heartî which was awarded Nigerian Music Award. In 2009 she was considered the best female artist of the year in gospel genre and it was a really great success. The same year Lara released her debut studio album titled as ìLara George New Albumî. The song ìKo le bajeî from the album became the real hit of gospel music and its mp3 recordings were well sold in Nigeria. In 2012 Lara George released her next album called ìHigherî.
